Day 1  Saturday October 20th 

Depart Melbourne on China Eastern flight MU738 at 12:00pm
arrival in Shanghai at 7:20pm.

Connect from Shanghai at 9:25pm arrival in
Beijing at 00:05am.

Assisted transfer to hotel and check-in.


Day 2 Sunday October 21st

Breakfast from 6:30am located on the first floor.

• Meet  in  the  hotel  lobby  at  10:00am  for  a  group  briefing  about  the

‘Race  Around  Beijing’  challenge  set  by  the  Group  Leader  aimed  at

developing participants’ intercultural understanding of China.

• Lunch to be included during ‘Race Around Beijing’ challenge.

• Meet your group leader at the Gate of the Tiananmen Tower under

Mao’s portrait at 1:30pm. 

• Afternoon visit to the Forbidden City to develop participants’

understanding of Beijing and its history as an ancient city and the seat

of power.

• Evening at leisure.

Day 3 Monday October 22nd

Breakfast from 6:30am located on the first floor.

• Visit China’s Great Wall to develop knowledge and understanding of

ancient China and the importance of the Great Wall for the ‘Middle

Kingdom’.

• Enjoy a simple rice dish lunch at Yinbeigou Village Restaurant near

Mutianyu village.

• Return late afternoon transfer to Beijing. Group dinner at XIAO

WANG FU Roast Duck restaurant.

Day 4 Tuesday October 23rd

Breakfast from 6:30am located on the first floor.

• Morning visit to 3e+International+School/+Kindergarten.

• Transfer to Changshu:

o Flight departs Beijing at 2:30pm arrival in Shanghai at

4:35pm. Transfer via coach transfer to Changshu.

• Dinner and group meeting at the hotel on arrival.

Day 5 Wednesday October 24th

Professional Learning and school visit

•  I-Earn PD

• ½ day Bureau briefing and Professional learning.

• ½ day return to School visit.

14:00-14:30 Visit school

14:35-15:15 Music class （teacher:Gong Wei）

15:40-16:30 Classroom teaching discussion

17:30- Dinner party held by school  and reflection on the Professional learning forum.

Day 6 Thursday October 25th

08:10-08:35 Visit class-break activities

08:50-09:30 English class（teacher:Zhang Xuefeng）

09:40-10:25 PE class（teacher:Mao Weiqiang）

10:35-11:15 Classroom teaching interchange

11:15- Lunch

• Joint planning in schools activities.

13:30-16:30 Visit the practice base: Jiang Xiang village

17:30- Supper

• Evening at leisure.

Day 7 Friday October 26th

08:00- Take part in school autumn sports meeting
（two Australian headmasters will be the time keeper judges ）
Comunication about table tennis after sports meeting

17:30- Supper

• Evening at leisure.

Day 8 Saturday October 27th

• Group meeting to reflect on Beijing component and school visits.

• Late morning and afternoon at leisure for participants to explore 

Changshu.

Day 9 Sunday October 28th

Day at leisure for participants to explore Changshu and reconnect

with homestay families.



Day 10 Monday October 29th

13:00-15:00 Classroom teaching discussion

Day 11 Tuesday October 30th

Day 12 Wednesday October 31st

School visit and Professional Learning

• ½ day School visit and farewell to partner schools.

• ½ day Professional learning with partner teachers and educators.

• Group Farewell Dinner.

Day 13 Thursday November 1st 

Group meeting from 9 - 11:00am.

• Opportunity to purchase resources before transferring to Shanghai

airport.

• Depart Shanghai on flight MU737 at 8:20pm arrival in Melbourne at

10:00am on Friday 2 November.
